What’s Happening

It’s been a little while since we’ve blogged. That’s because we’re really busy!

Appointments are filling up a week out. Especially if you need a color appointment, please call in advance- it will be much easier to get in. ALTHOUGH: you can always call to be put on our cancellation list, or see if anything has opened up for that day.

Beer: Now serving a Baltic Porter with smoked grains. In about a week we will have a heather ale with NO hops! I’m guessing you can’t say you’ve tried that before! We just finished off a raspberry peppercorn beer, which everyone loved.

Threading: We now offer threading! Come in for just a threading appointment (should be very easy to book last minute) or add it on to your service. It’s quick and NO HOT WAX! That will be Yumi making your face hairless.

New Stylist: Yumi will be our newest stylist starting October 19th- she is finishing up her training now. She will have a special “introductory” period and price. $25 for cuts for about the first month. She will also be easier to get in with last minute- yay for that!

Art: Our next show will go up 3rd Friday in October. There will be a post with all the details coming up. But we will of course, be in full Halloween swing. Come in now for really affordable art by Nat Russell and Mark Taylor.

Maternity Leave: Jenean will be going on maternity leave October 15th – January 16th (or somewhere around that date). Appointments are all filled, but again, you could get on the cancellation list. Jenean is expecting her 1st BOY due December 3rd!!

Happy New Year!

Well, December 5th 2010 marked our 1 year anniversary and business hasn’t slowed down after the holidays! Great news for us, but that means clients may need to book a little more in advance- especially for color services. Also, we are now carrying the Davines Glorifying System for color treated hair.

We are really excited about the art shows we have planned for 2011- Brian Brooks from Oakland CA will be showing from February to April. Come see his show “Dogs”, we’ll be posting info about the reception later this month. AndĀ Jon Carling, Nat Russel and Leah Bell to name a few others.

As for beer, here’s what we have to look forward to: a winter wit full of cardamom, black pepper, coriander and setsumi orange peel. A nut brown ale, one last winter ale (with vanilla bean, clove and cinnamon stick) and basil beer will be back in the spring.
